  • OUR STORY

    Anna and Mia met across a punch bag. Over a post workout coffee they found they had a lot in common: both worked in the film and television industry, had an insatiable curiosity about people, and they were equally willing to sacrifice their dignity for a really good time.

     

    Together they curated the monthly immersive event, ‘Girls Night Out,’ juxtaposing unique venues with unusual activities, food and drink, with the aim of surprising and entertaining a game group of women and their unsuspecting plus-ones. It was an opportunity for Anna and Mia to play to their strengths: creating memorable experiences and persuading people to try new things.

     

    In 2017 they too tried something new - Extended Reality. Instantly hooked, they couldn’t wait to introduce new audiences to this exciting technology. And so, later that year Anna and Mia launched moVRshaker productions, combining their twenty five years of experience writing, directing and producing with a passion to explore the storytelling potential of XR.

    Torn between her love of impractical footwear and a Virtual Reality headset, a woman vows to remain fashion forward while producing Mixed Reality content.

     

     

    Mia Martell has produced film, television, commercials and events in thirty countries. The alchemy that occurs when unique talent, innovative technology and masterful storytelling come together continues to excite her. The chance to use her curiosity, experience and skill to make the most of that alchemy is what gets Mia up in the morning.

    In a virtual battle to save the universe, a comedy writer takes on Darth Vader at a shopping centre, only to be left wondering: why can’t ‘Feeling The Force’ be funny?

     

     

    Anna is an award-winning Writer-Director who has worked with BAFTA and Oscar-winning talent as well as the National Youth Theatre. She is also Creative Director of an annual, large-scale live event hosted by Dame Emma Thompson. In 2020 Anna was selected to participate in the Immersive Game Lab run by InGAME and the StoryFutures Academy.
